Best Time for Langtang Trek

Langtang-Valley-View

Nepal is so beautiful you can visit here anytime. But to see the much clearer sky, mountains, good weather, and best lifetime memory, the best time to trek in Langtang Valley is during March-June and September-December. The weather is mild and the sky is clear during these seasons, what’s more, do you need for trekking?

During September- October, along with beautiful landscapes you can enjoy the national festival of Nepal “Dashain” and “Tihar”.

During July – August, the monsoon season starts and makes the trip hard to complete. We do not recommend walking during this period.

During March – June, the climate and sky is the clear and second-best time to roam around Nepal. You can have picturesque views of the mountains.

Langtang Valley Trek Difficulty

Langtang Trek is the simplest trip in Nepal but it is still considered Demanding. You may have some common challenges. Trekking with Guide and Trekking at the best time is what we recommend. As we are completing the trek in just 7 days, you should care about the following difficulties.

Altitude Sickness

The term Altitude Sickness is used often but there are in fact 3 types of Altitude Sickness. The most common is actually Acute Mountain Sickness – or AMS for short. And we will be up to 3600m in Langtang Village, Nepal, and has a good chance of being suffered from AMS. As the air becomes thinner so there is less oxygen available. Your lungs need time to adjust in order to carry much-needed oxygen to the different parts of your body.

There is a limited number of hotels for accommodation and food. As Langtang Pass is a rural village, please don’t hope to find 5 – Star Hotels. You will be kept at the guesthouse overnight.
