Everest Base Camp Heli Tour Itinerary

Early in the morning, we are going to drive towards the Airport and fly to Lukla Airport. At Lukla, we are going to stop for like 10-15 minutes for Heli refuelling. Further, we will fly over the Khumbu valley and Sagarmatha National Park. Flying over the Everest base camp, we will make helicopter landing at Kalapathar. From Kala Patthar, we are going to inspect the panorama of mighty Everest and other towering Himalayas around us.

After that, we are fly downwards to Everest view hotel for breakfast. Spending a couple of hours in Everest view hotel, we will fly down to Lukla airport for refuelling. And finally, we are going to fly back to Kathmandu. Flight to Lukla airport by Helicopter ( 30 minutes )

The helicopter trip to Everest Base Camp takes about 45-minutes to arrive at Lukla. The trip takes another 10-15 minutes for refueling at Lukla. At that time you will be given half an hour to do your personal things.

6) Is there oxygen cylinder available in Helicopter If needed?

The maximum altitude you will experience is 5550m. And there will be a solution for all types of difficulties. So yes you will get the oxygen cylinder when needed. But normally this situation won’t come.

7) Is it possible to land at Everest base camp?

Yes, but only if you are climbing to Everest and in the emergency cases only. Normally during the tour landing to Everest Base Camp is not preferable because the base camp of Mount Everest resides above the glacier and which makes landing difficult and very dangerous. The land structure of the Everest Base Camp is not stable and weak. So the landing is done in the Kala Patthar(5545m), the highest point of the Everest Base Camp.
