The following Itinerary is just a recommended Trekking Route. So, you can modify the Langtang Trek itinerary as per your need. The trek route can be extended to 12 days by adding Tserko Ri ( 5000m ) in the itinerary. Best Time for to Trek
If you have never visited Nepal, then I would like to share that Nepal is such a wonderful place where you can visit any time in Nepal. So in the case of Langtang Valley Trek. However, March-May and September – November are the best time for trekking in Langtang . But we don’t recommend you to hike in June – July (its rainy time and your plan will be ruined by water). In the case of March-May and Sept – Nov, you can see clear sky, moderate temperature, good weather and a paradigm time for trekking.

Langtang Valley Trek is considered one of the easiest trekking in Nepal. However, you may face some challenges. Altitude Sickness, Lack of proper Accommodation, Lack of proper diet, Lack of experienced trekking guide, bad weather may be some Difficulty.

Altitude Sickness: As we will be trekking above 3000m, you may feel uncomfortable in breathing due to a thin layer of air, called altitude sickness. Its main problem in Langtang Treks.
Lack of Proper Accommodation: This is one of the best-trekking destinations. As you will be trekking, other tourists may be also trekking at the same time. Due to a limited number of hotels, you may have a problem with accommodation.
Lack of proper guide: You can not get a kick in trek without experienced trekking guide. You may not know about the historical, cultural and other facts about these places and some time you may take your self in danger and you may not get any one to take care of you.
Bad Weather: You have to choose the best time to visit here. Else you will end up visiting in bad season and you cannot enjoy your trek. September-October and April-May are the peak time to visit Langtang Valley.

As you will be trekking, it’s better to have basic trekking requirements and gears. You can buy these in Nepal or get them on rent. These are the basic Langtang Expedition gears.

Trekking in any part of Nepal need permits and extra fees. In the case of Langtang Valley Trek, you should have a TIMS Card and Langtang National Park Entry Permits. We can arrange both permits and cards for your trekking. Each TIMS Card and National park permit will cost $20. trekking Permits are compulsory in Nepal, you will have to pass through various checkpoints where you have to show your card and permits. The cost of permits always remains the same either in peak season or offseason. There will be special pink colour trek permits for SAARC member county and it costs only $6. Total Cost of Trekking
This Expedition Cost depends upon the services you want, the itinerary you choose, weather and season, group size, and so on. Generally, Langtang Trek costs $550 for a single person.
The cost includes your travel expenses, insurance costs, your porter fees and experienced guide cost, food, accommodation, maps. However, this cost does not include Your Visa Fare, International Air Fare, personal expenses and all expenses before the start of the course.
What type of accommodation can I expect on this trek?
As we will trek in the high elevations, there won’t be an enormous number of houses. In this way, you will get tea houses for convenience with essential services. The teahouses have twin-rooms and ordinary toilets. The rooms have a bed with a sleeping pad, cushion, and covers. Better you carry toilet papers and a sleeping bag with you.
How fit should I have to be ?
Langtang Trail 8 days is one of the shortest and easiest treks in Nepal. There may be some problem with AMS(Acute Mountain Sickness), but the overall trip is not hard. So, anyone with good physical fitness can complete the trek. 7-8 days ahead of trekking we recommend you to walk sometime, do swimming or some physical exercises as a warm-up for the trekking.
Can I find ATMs to use credit card?
Yes, you can find some ATMs on Langtang Valley route. There are really few ATMs on the way. So it’s better to carry some cash with you. But you can have easy access to ATMs in major cities of Nepal.
Is there any risk of Altitude Sickness?
Generally, altitude sickness does not affect anyone while travelling below 3000m. We will walk through forests. So there is less chance of being affected by AMS. However, climbing up to Tserko Ri(5000m), you should be careful about mountain sickness.
I have not done any trekking before, is this Trip for me?
Yes, this course is for those who want to enjoy the trekking and have to hike really few days. It is a beginners trail. Anyone can complete this. So, you should not have any previous trekking experience for this voyage.

What about touring Langtang in March, April and May?
Trekking in March, April and May are flawless to see nature at its best with the rhododendron blooms wherever in the trail. We can do Langtang Valley Trekking in Spring, Autumn, Winter, Summer. You will have different weather in different seasons. These are the best time to hike.
- Weather Spring: Spring is the most popular trekking season. Weather remains clear, nice and warm with a clear sky. The temperatures will be around 10 to 20 degree Celcius. So, its best time of year to hike around.
- Weather Autumn: Autumn is another popular trekking season. Weather remains amazing during autumn. The temperature will be around 10-20 degree Celcius at day and 5-degree Celcius at night.
- Weather in Winter: Weather in Winter is very cold. The temperature drops to even 0-degree Celcius. There may be snowfalls as well as harsh winds during this season.
- Weather in Summer: Weather in Summer will be quite hot up to 30-degree Celsius. There may be many rainfalls during the trek in summer.
How is trekking in December, January, February?
It is usually dry in December, January, and February. The sky remains clear during these months and what? a perfect time to see mighty mountain views. In addition to this, in December, January and February, you will have no trouble in finding accommodation at a tea house as the crowd will be very less. What is the highest trekking Altitude?
