Langtang Valley Trek, under the foot of Langtang Himalayas and relatively short trek in Nepal, is a hidden gem of trekking. With altitude below 4000m, it is also one of the easiest treks in Nepal which can be completed with your family too. You neither need to have a high level of physical fitness nor previous trekking experience to complete this trek. This amazing Langtang Trek will take you through rhododendron and bamboo forest, heartening waterfalls, eye-catching mountain views, beautiful Tamang Culture and many more which I can’t explain in my words.

Langtang Trek Route

The following Langtang Valey Trekking Itinerary is just a recommended trek route. So, you can modify the itinerary as per your need. The trek route can be extended to 12 days by adding Tserko Ri ( 5000m ) in the itinerary. On this route, you can enjoy Views of Mt Manaslu, Mt Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal; Walkthrough bamboo and rhododendron forest; Mountain views and Waterfalls; Buddhist Monastery; enjoy views of the great Himalayas, Glaciers, Birds and Yaks and many more.

Best time for Langtang Valley Trek

If you have never visited Nepal, then I would like to share that Nepal is such a wonderful place where you can visit any time in Nepal. So in the case of Langtang. However, March – May and September – November are best time for Langtang Valley Trek. But we don’t recommend you to trek in June – July (its rainy time and your trek will be ruined by water). In case of March-May and Sept – Nov, you can see clear sky, moderate temperature, good weather and a paradigm time for trekking.

Langtang Trek Difficulty

Langtang Trek is considered one of the easiest trekking in Nepal. However, you may face some challenges. Altitude Sickness, Lack of proper Accommodation, Lack of proper diet, Lack of experienced trekking guide, bad weather may be some Langtang Trek Difficulty.

Altitude Sickness: As we will be trekking above 3000m, you may feel uncomfortable in breathing due to a thin layer of air, called altitude sickness.

Lack of Proper Accommodation: Langtang is one of best trekking destinations. As you will be trekking, other tourists may be also trekking in same time. Due to limited number of hotels you may have problem of accommodation.

Lack of proper guide: You can not get a kick in trek without experienced trekking guide. You may not know about the historical, cultural and other facts about these places and some time you may take your self in danger and you may not get any one to take care of you.

Bad Weather: You have to choose the best time to visit in Langtang. Else you will end up visiting in bad season and you cannot enjoy your trek. September-October and April-May are the peak time of trekking in Langtang region.

If you can take care of these common Langtang trek difficulties, then you can get most out from Langtang, possibly a life long memory.

Langtang Trek Permits

Trekking in any part of Nepal need permits and extra fees. In case of Langtang Trek permit, you should have a TIMS Card and Langtang Trek Permits. We can arrange both permits and cards for your trekking. Each TIMS Card and Langtang permit will cost $20. trekking Permits are compulsory in Nepal, you will have to pass through various checkpoints where you have to show your card and permits. The cost of permits always remains the same either in peak season or offseason. There will be special pink color trek permits for SAARC member county and it costs only $6.

Langtang Trek Cost

The Langtang Trek Cost depends upon the services you want, the itinerary you choose, weather and season, group size, and so on. Generally, Langtang Valley Trek costs $650 for a single person.

This Langtang Trek cost includes your travel expenses, insurance costs, your porter fees and experienced trek guide cost, food, accommodation during trek, trek maps. However, this cost do not include Your Visa Fare, International Air Fare, personal expenses and all expenses before start of the trek.
