Manaslu Circuit Trekking Itinerary 10 Days

Below route of 10 days Manaslu Round is just the recommended itinerary. It is just a shorter version of long Manaslu Round Trek which takes 3 weeks. In this 10 days route, you can enjoy all the places you do in 3 weeks but rapidly. So, it could be challenging and difficult for beginners. However, beginners can trek in Mardi Himal, Langtang, and Ghorepani. For those who have good trekking experience, this trek is exactly what they need. Let’s see the itinerary below:

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat. Trek to Soti Khola

Day 02: Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola

Day 03: Machha Khola to Jagat

Day 04: Trek Jagat to Deng

Day 05: Walk from Deng to Namrung

Day 06: From Namrung to Samagaun

Day 07: Trek from Samagaun to Dharmashala

Day 08: Dharmashala to Bimtang

Day 09: Bimtang to Dharapani

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu from Dharapani

Best Time for 10 Days Manaslu Circuit

Autumn (September, October, and November) and Spring (March, April, and May) are the best time for trekking in the 10 days Manaslu Trails.

Autumn offers stable weather and clearest skies. The temperature is also favourable for trekking. Hence, is the best and popular time for trekking in Nepal.

In the case of spring, forest in the trekking routes become colourful and beautiful. It is the best season for those who love nature. Moreover, you will be amazed by majestic Himalayan vistas. Wildlife becomes more active during this time.

For trekking in Manaslu or any part of Nepal, winter is an offseason. But, the helicopter tours are operated in winter months if you want to see and fly over the mountains in winter. Trekking in offseason is really dangerous and we do not recommend any beginners to trek in this time. However, experts can trek in this time as well.

Permits Required for Manaslu Trek 10 Days

Manaslu lies in the restricted area of Nepal. hence you need special permits to trek in Manaslu. You need three permits for 10 Days Manaslu circuit trek. They are:-

  • Manaslu Restricted Permit
  • Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP)
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)

You can get all of these permits from Nepal Tourism Board, Kathmandu. Obtaining the restricted area permit is not that easy. You must have a trekking group of at least two trekkers and registered trekking guide or a porter to go with you to get permits. Its costs about USD 70 for the first week. For additional days, you have to pay USD 10 per day. In the case of ACAP and MCAP, you have to pay $20 each.
